PSRF Provides Local Gardeners with State-Certified Shellfish Seed

  • All of our shellfish seed is sourced from state-certified supplier: Taylor Shellfish Farms.
  • Seed should only be purchased from certified, approved sources. Uncertified seed can introduce disease or invasive species into local waters.
  • Grocery store-bought oysters should never be placed on the beach. Shellfish with unknown origins or from outside your area—even from another basin within Washington—may carry harmful pathogens.
  • Oysters must be shucked on the tideland where found. It is illegal to discard oyster shells from your seafood plate or from the seafood market on Washington beaches or into state waters.

Thank you for sourcing responsibly and following all guidelines to help protect our local waters!
