Thank you to all who joined us at Elliott’s Oyster House this November 2nd, 2019 for Oyster New Year, where we celebrated the annual return of the peak shellfish season! As the cloudy, cool fall weather moves into the Puget Sound region, the icy north Pacific Ocean current entices shellfish to come into their prime, developing a crisp, firm texture and clean taste characteristics.
We ate and drank to our stomach’s content at the sell-out event and the biggest oyster party on the West Coast! 30+ varieties of local oysters were shucked to order at the 150-foot oyster bar, plus a fresh seafood buffet, live music and more. All proceeds benefited Puget Sound Restoration Fund. Look for tickets to the 2020 event to go on sale next summer, and until then, slurp up!
