Coming Up

Oyster New Year

It’s a joy every year to be swept up in the great celebration of Northwest oysters. As the cloudy, cool fall weather moves into the Puget Sound region, the icy north Pacific Ocean current entice shellfish to come into their prime, developing a crisp, firm texture and clean taste characteristics.

Hats off to Elliott’s Oyster House for finding a way to keep the Oyster New Year tradition alive these last 2 years. This year, Elliott’s will celebrate the annual return of the peak shellfish season with a Shell-a-bration throughout the month of November.  They are offering a special oyster-centric menu and donating 25 cents for every oyster on the half shell ordered (11/1 – 11/30 weekdays from 3-5pm) to help raise money for PSRF. Visit Elliott’s Oyster New Year page to partake in the offerings. Thank you enormously for all that you do to support our work, Elliott’s. We look forward to the grandest of Oyster New Year’s in 2022!

Whiskies for Wildlife

Our 11th Annual Whiskies For Wildlife event, presented by Bainbridge Organic Distillers, will be back in 2022!  Join us for this divine event featuring more than 225 Scottish single malt whiskies and world-class single malt, grain, blended and antique whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, Japan, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Taiwan, the United States of America and more.  This event always sells out, so check back on our website for locked in dates and look to nab tickets as early as possible.

All proceeds benefit Puget Sound Restoration Fund, for which we are so grateful.

Walrus & Carpenter

We look forward the low-tide picnics in 2023!

Please check back here for details and dates for our next Walrus and Carpenter event in early next year.  As always, special thanks to the Taylor Shellfish Staff and to Browne Family Vineyards and Gruet NV Sauvage for your constant support of PSRF and this wondrous event!

Hosted by Taylor Shellfish Farms as a benefit for the Puget Sound Restoration Fund, the Walrus & Carpenter picnics provide the ultimate oyster-eating experience. The nighttime, low tide picnic takes place by lantern and moonlight in Taylor’s Totten Inlet oyster bed. Icy gusts of wind off the bay will invigorate your experience. Take a shucking lesson before dining on these plump, sweet oysters just rousted from their beds. Devour the freshly opened delicacies paired with award-wining “oyster wines” by Browne Family Vineyards and Gruet NV Sauvage served in sparkling Reidel stemware. The perfect blend of magic and madness. As the tide rises, revel in a blazing bonfire awaiting you on the beach and savor a steaming cup of chowder. This is an experience not to be missed.  All proceeds for these unique events benefit Puget Sound Restoration Fund.
