Projects > Geoduck Research

Puget Sound Restoration Fund is conducting a geoduck research project to experiment with different planting techniques that might reduce the need for predator protection gear. The operating idea thus far is to plant seed at 6 months and 12 months and modify traditional planting techniques in order to create a depth refuge. There may be an optimal depth at which geoduck seed can be planted that allows them to escape the grasp of predators without the need for gear.
