It’s a joy every year to be swept up in the great celebration of Northwest oysters. As the cloudy, cool fall weather returns to Puget Sound, the icy north Pacific Ocean current entices shellfish into their prime, creating a crisp, firm texture and clean taste characteristics. Each year, Elliott’s Oyster House rings in Oyster New Year in November, to celebrate the annual return of the peak shellfish season. Oyster New Year is a not to be missed event, with 30+ varieties of local oysters shucked to order, a fresh seafood buffet, live music and more. Stay tuned for a date for Oyster New Year in 2024.
